OUR IMPACT
Society needs a guiding hand in taking a strength in numbers approach to systems change at both local and global levels because, for some of us, numbers is all we have. Part of what makes being an activist challenging for so many is lack of funds, lack of resources, or lack of knowledge in how to bring about change. In taking a community approach to the problems we see, all of these limitations and more can be accommodated.
Communiivate is the preface of what digital tools for community activism could look like. More than anything, the fact that Communiivate exists is a major example of its potential. Your support could never be wasted on behalf of the Communiivate vision, because with every new user or donation, Communiivate moves one step closer to successfully uniting global activist efforts.
About The Creator
My name is Michael Plischke, I am 24 years old, and I currently live in Vancouver, British Columbia Canada. Experience with industry, social injustice and, most importantly, societal inaction, made me ask myself just what I thought I was doing with my life. From zero to hero, I pushed myself to eventually master full-stack mobile app development — trudging through over 5000 hours of soul-crushing work. Why? Because I had an idea. That idea was to make an app for people like me; people who, at one or more points in their lives, have felt helpless in changing the world around them. Through Communiivate, I strive to eradicate this feeling on a global scale.
This platform may still be a work in progress, but I refuse to give up on this dream. I believe it is our collective responsibility to bring about a more equitable and sustainable society, and Communiivate is my way of getting us there.
